I began guiding treks, full-time, in 2000. I've guided across the western states and Canada and found that my guiding work was a great fit for psychology. I have spent these 12 years in pursuit of both further development of my wilderness skill-sets as well as investing in graduate and post-graduate education in Therapeutic Uses of Wilderness within my Masters and Doctoral degrees. I am a doctoral candidate, writing the dissertation on "Parental factors within Wilderness Therapy". My work as a psychotherapist is grounded in my work as a Wilderness and Adventure Guide.
